SEATTLE, Sept. 26, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Associated Grocers, Incorporated (AG) has announced that President and CEO, Bob Hermanns, has elected to leave the company. The announcement came from AG Board of Directors Chairman, Ron Brake, who has been asked by the Board to assume the role of Interim President and CEO. The AG Board is conducting a search for a replacement to lead the company and carry out the new initiatives started in January of this year.

Hermanns, who joined the company in July of 2002, said, "It has been a pleasure to lead the AG Team through the many accomplishments we've achieved during my tenure as President, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board."
