DAVIE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- China Direct Trading Corporation's (OTCBB:CHDT) wholly owned subsidiary, Souvenir Direct, Inc. (SDI), has signed an exclusive sales agreement with Sutter's Mill Specialties Inc., an established southwestern souvenir and gift manufacturer, to sell Sutter's well-established line of high-end, laser-engraved souvenir, gift and promotional products. Sutter's enjoys multi-million dollar revenues from the sale of its products throughout the U.S. This week SDI begins selling Sutter's items at a major souvenir and gift show in San Diego.
The PCSDA show is during the annual convention of the nation's souvenir and postcard distributors and generates 20 percent of SDI revenues annually. For the first time, today the company is able to offer the volume item and the small minimum required item which is laser engraved at Sutter's Mill. SDI contractually earns a commission on all Sutter's Mill souvenir sales.
Each year the PCSDA association has an awards banquet and recognizes the best of products, and for the third year in a row Souvenir Direct has won the best keyring award with a spinner keyring design made for Kerst Photography in Big Bear Lake.
The agreement with Sutter's Mill provides SDI with the following advantages: the ability to fill customer orders under the 1,400-item minimum order limit of CHDT's Chinese suppliers; expansion of SDI's product lines into laser-imprinted souvenir, promotional, and gift items; linkage to an established southwestern/western U.S. producer of quality souvenir and gift items; and a domestic customer for CHDT's Chinese suppliers of raw materials for souvenir, promotional, and gift items.
