TABY, Sweden, Oct. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Micronic Laser Systems AB, (Stockholm Stock Exchange's "Attract 40 list": MICR) a leading global supplier of laser pattern generators for photomasks, today received an exchange order from a customer in Asia. Under the terms of the order the customer will take delivery of an LRS series laser pattern generator in exchange for a previously ordered metrology system MMS15000.
"Demand for display photomasks remains very strong, which is driving a need for production capacity and additional pattern generators," said Sven Lofquist, president and CEO of Micronic Laser Systems.
LRS series laser pattern generators are used for the production of display photomasks for TFT-LCDs. These are used for flat panel displays for monitor and laptop computers as well as for LCD-TVs, so called TV on the wall.
