STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tele2 AB, ("Tele2"), (Stockholmsborsen:TEL2A) (Stockholmsborsen:TEL2B), the leading alternative pan-European telecommunications company, today announced that it will introduce two new positions, Vice President Operations and Vice President Sales & Marketing, in the Senior Executive Team.
Johnny Svedberg is appointed Vice President Operations, and Fredrik Berglund is appointed Vice President Sales & Marketing. Consequently, Fredrik Berglund will resign as CEO of Tele2 Sweden and as Market Area Director Nordic. Niclas Palmstierna will resume Fredrik Berglund's positions as CEO of Tele2 Sweden and Market Area Director Nordic. All changes will apply as of December 1, 2005.
Niclas Palmstierna has held various positions within the Tele2 organisation since 1999, most recently as CEO of Tele2 Denmark.
