PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- In preparation for its January 13, 2006 investment application deadline, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/SEP) (www.sep.benfranklin.org) will host five capital briefings in the Philadelphia region in December 2005.
The briefings will cover such topics as investment ranges and structures, company qualifications, proposal preparation, evaluation processes, as well as information on a variety of other entrepreneurial assistance programs available through BFTP/SEP. Featured will be the newly developed, streamlined pre-application process, designed to provide entrepreneurs more immediate feedback on their investment opportunity.
"Ben Franklin continues a proud tradition of providing the early-stage investment and management assistance that are vital to ensuring the region's vibrant entrepreneurial community," noted Terrence Hicks, Vice-President of BFTP/SEP's Investment Group. "These sessions allow us to take some of the mystery out of the investment process by providing critical information and access to resources that may contribute to the entrepreneur's success."
BFTP/SEP holds capital briefings for technology company entrepreneurs and business advisors seeking investment for technology development, commercialization and/or working capital. Regardless of the type of technology or the company's stage of development, entrepreneurs and business advisors are encouraged to learn about BFTP/SEP's application process and investment programs.
