KLIPPAN, Sweden, Nov. 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- At an extraordinary general meeting for KLIPPAN AB, five new board members and three new members of the company's nomination committee were elected.
Johan Hessius, Stockholm, born 1958, was elected chairman of the board. Hessius is an attorney and partner of Advokatfirman Lindahl. He is chairman of the board of Fastighets AB Sollenta and Bullando Marina AB as well as member of the board of Holm & Co AB and Advokatfirman Lindahl KB.
Peter Eriksson, Lidingo, born 1955. Eriksson is a graduate business administrator/MBA and member of the board of Intersources N.V. Belgium, Web Trade Systems Sweden AB, INS Nordic AB, Web Trade Gothenburg AB, Web Trade Ltd and Waeb Trade Client Account Ltd.
Staffan Gunnarsson, Boras, born 1947. Gunnarsson is the MD of Weland Stal AB and holds a number of appointments as member of the board in subsidiaries within the Weland group.
Torbjorn Larsson, Gavle, born 1948. Larsson is a forest officer and graduate business administrator, and is the MD and group CEO of Bergvik Skog AB. He is a member of the board of Swetree Technology AB.
Gosta Welandson, Smalandsstenar, born 1937. Welandson is a manufacturer and, together with his family, the owner of the Weland group. He is MD in Weland AB, chairman of the board of Weland AB and in subsidiaries within the Weland group.
Claes Lindqvist and Maj-Liss Olsson are members from earlier elections.
The new members elected to the company's nomination committee are Gosta Welandson, Peter Ekelund and David Marcus.
Peter Ekelund, Bastad, born 1954, is a graduate business administrator and MD of AB Novestra. He is chairman of the board of Bytek Systems AB, and member of the board of Aldata Solution Oy, C More Entertainment AB, Explorica Inc, inWarehouse AB, My Publisher Inc, Netsurvey AB and Strax Inc.
David Marcus, New Jersey, USA, is the managing partner of M2 Capital Management LP, chairman of the board of Modern Holdings Inc and Great Universal Inc, USA and member of the board of Shared Value, UK, and Modern Times Group MTG AB and AB Novestra.
The employee organizations have notified that they have appointed Benny Karlsson to succeed Gorgen Jansson as ordinary member of the board.
