LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Maxent, a leading provider of value-priced flat-panel display solutions for consumers, today announced it's taking home entertainment to the next level with ServoTV(tm), a high-performance high-definition 42-inch WXGA plasma display that incorporates a Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11a wireless transmitter enabling it to transmit video and audio signals from its NTSC, AV1 and AV2 inputs for reception by the Maxent Client TV or a wireless-enabled PC.
Maxent's ServoTV enables consumers to wirelessly "place-shift" video and audio from ServoTV's integrated NTSC tuner, DVDs and digital video recorders, allowing them to view content anywhere in the home using the included Maxent Client TV, or even on an 802.11a-enabled PC, without having to be tethered to the video components. Maxent's Client TV, a battery-powered 10.2-inch TFT LCD display which incorporates an IEEE 802.11a wireless receiver, is capable of receiving video from ServoTV's composite video inputs and NTSC tuner.

Maxent ServoTV is a high-performance, high-definition 42-inch 16:9 WXGA plasma display which supports both analog and digital broadcasts through two integrated NTSC tuners and an ATSC/QAM tuner for SDTV and HDTV broadcasts. The Digital Cable Ready ServoTV with CableCARD(tm) slot, incorporates a host of connectivity options including: composite with S-Video, two component video inputs, RGB input, DVI input, and HDMI with HDCP. In addition to side-mounted integrated speakers, Servo TV also features a SPDIF digital audio output.
Included with the ServoTV, Maxent's Client TV is a lightweight, battery-powered 10.2-inch TFT LCD display which incorporates an IEEE 802.11a wireless receiver enabling users to view live and recorded video content throughout the home. The 4:3 display features a resolution of 800 x 480 and supports 480i and NTSC signals. With the ability to view content from Servo TV's composite video and NTSC inputs, Client TV can control and watch content independently of Servo TV. In addition to integrated speakers, Client TV also provides a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Maxent ServoTV and Client TV package will be available in late Q3 2006 through retailers and warehouse stores at a MSRP of $2,799.
