ATLANTA, Feb. 8, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP (MMM) has committed to sponsor programming honoring Black History Month, February 2006, on two Atlanta public broadcasting stations -- WPBA Channel 30 and WABE-FM, 90.1 FM.
MMM is the exclusive law firm sponsor of all feature programming throughout the month. This includes 17 programs, including "African-American Lives," a four-part series showing how DNA testing helped trace the heritage of several distinguished African-Americans, including Oprah Winfrey, Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, and Chris Tucker.
"Underwriting this wonderful programming is a great way to show our support for public broadcasting, and also to show the firm's support for diversity in the workplace," said James "Mac" Hunter, a Partner with the firm.
Last November, Morris, Manning & Martin also sponsored the presentation of Rx For Survival -- A Global Health Challenge, a series which aired over three nights.
