DALLAS, Feb. 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Immediatek's (OTCBB:ITEK) DiscLive, a pioneer in the space of recording live content and making it available immediately after the event, announced that it will be working with the acclaimed rock band dada as they embark on a string of dates along the East Coast.
Starting February 17th at the NorVA, in Norfolk, VA, DiscLive will record dada's set and make it available on the limited edition collectible CD sets immediately after the show, and will continue on each stop of their tour which concludes on February 25th at Harper's Ferry in Boston. Pre-orders are already being taken on DiscLive's website at http://www.disclive.com, and the company says that sales are brisk.
In addition, as an added bonus, anyone who pre-orders a CD online will receive an autographed copy, and according to the band, those who attend the show and have pre-ordered the CD will automatically be entered in a drawing the band is conducting where one person from each show will win a pair of tickets to the next dada show in that area as well as a private meet and greet before the show.
In 1992, dada (www.dadatheband.com) exploded onto the scene with their critically acclaimed debut release, Puzzle, featuring the hit single "Dizz Knee Land," which set the alternative radio movement on fire, and quickly migrated to mainstream rock and pop stations. After several label and side project releases, the band still possesses a die-hard fan base and one of the most energetic live shows around today.
"We're very excited to be working with dada," said Zach Bair, CEO of DiscLive. "This is a band with a loyal following, and their sound and overall vibe will translate well to our product."
"We have been allowing our fans to tape freely for years now," said Joie Calio, singer/ bassist for dada. "They love to have the live shows to listen to, but unfortunately those recordings aren't the best quality. DiscLive will allow the listener to get a quality live recording and lets them get it right after the show. It's crazy, but cool."
