Semotus Solutions Expands International Customer Base

Australian Reseller TUSC Wins Gold Coast City Council, Simplot Foods, UniSuper and HP Australia as New OpenLinkXS Customers

LOS GATOS, Calif., March 2, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Semotus Solutions (AMEX:DLK), an innovative leader of software solutions for enterprise mobility, today announced that in collaboration with its Australian authorized reseller, TUSC Computer Systems Pty, Ltd., the Company has won several new deals with clients that include Gold Coast City Council, Simplot Foods, UniSuper and HP Australia as new customers for its proprietary OpenLinkXS software solutions.

Dean Jones of TUSC Computer Systems, stated, "Semotus' OpenLink product platform is proving to be a very popular and fast preferred solution for those enterprise customers seeking highly advanced, easily managed and readily scalable messaging capabilities. We are very proud to be a valued partner of Semotus Solutions and look forward to continuing to work with the Company to perpetuate and enhance the notable sales traction we are experiencing with its products in Australia."

HP Australia, the first company in Australia to purchase Semotus' voice module on the OpenLink product platform, has connected five satellite operations on the OpenLink messaging system. UniSuper is the industry super fund dedicated exclusively to all who work in Australia's higher education and research sector. The Fund has more than 447,000 members and more than $15 billion in assets (at 30 June 2005), which makes it one of Australia's largest superannuation funds. UniSuper has also selected OpenLink as its messaging platform.

Gold Coast City Council (GCCC) is the second largest local government in Australia, providing a range of services and managing organizations, activities and facilities for residents of and visitors to the Gold Coast of Australia. GCCC is using OpenLink as a messaging gateway to support both email and SMS from Openview NMM, allowing it to alert support staff of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps from their supported devices. In addition, the system permits GCCC to easily map its on-call roster in OpenLink providing for only 'on-call' staff to receive alerts, instead of every staff member in a managed group.

Simplot Foods, one of the top ten food and beverage companies in Australia, also selected OpenLink as its notification gateway for two defined messengers (GSM and SMTP). They chose OpenLink primarily because of its ability to permit modification of its Openview Operations for Windows (OVOW) policies, ensuring that key messages are forwarded to a given OpenLink on-duty group. Some of these groups are quite simple -- sending email to recipients on a 24/7 basis. Other groups utilize rotating weekly schedules, escalation groups and follow-me groups, with both paging and email.

"We are very pleased with the success that TUSC is enjoying with our OpenLink product line in Australia," stated Pamela LaPine, President of Semotus Solutions. "Clearly, TUSC is doing an outstanding job of conveying the benefits and advantages of our superior messaging technologies to the enterprise business community in Australia. Moreover, its success is helping to validate that Semotus' global growth strategy is beginning to deliver promising results."

OpenLinkXS is the "wireless link" to HP's OpenView(tm) product line providing dynamic messaging software that is specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with the OpenView applications and alert users of network events. These events can then be remotely accessed and managed directly within OpenView from BlackBerry(tm) or Pocket PC(tm) handheld devices. OpenLink supports full one-way and two-way data and voice communications with wireless receivers. When an event is initiated by OpenView, OpenLink quickly notifies the appropriate people, as the wireless transport mechanism. OpenLink provides connections to virtually any wireless device on any carrier. As a two-way messaging and network management software system, OpenLink turns a wireless device into a "remote control" for OpenView. It enables users to proactively check network events and status of events. Event details can be looked up, and users can acknowledge and close events, as well.
