Sampo Professional Expands Family of Commercial Flat Panel LCD and Plasma Displays With Shipment of New Feature-Packed, Versatile Ethernet-Controllable Solutions

When Used With Sampo Professional's New DisplayNet Administrative Software, the New 32-, 37- and 42-Inch LCD, and 42- and 50-Inch Plasma Displays Can be Remotely Controlled and Managed From a Single Networked Computer

LAS VEGAS, March 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sampo Professional, a leading provider of network-enabled flat-panel display solutions for the commercial, education, hospitality, and government sectors, today announced at the NSCA 2006 Expo (booth 3249) that it has begun shipping its 2006 family of high-performance, IP-addressable, commercial LCD and plasma displays.

Ideal for multiple unit deployments in digital signage, public display and distributed learning applications, the new displays are compatible with Sampo Professional's proprietary DisplayNet administrative software which allows an administrator to control and manage a network of multiple displays from a single networked computer.

The new additions to the Sampo Professional family of commercial flat-panel displays include the 32-inch HDTV-Ready WXGA LCD-TV (LME-32X81), 37-inch HDTV-Ready WXGA LCD-TV (LME-37X8), 42-inch HDTV-Ready WXGA LCD-TV (LME-42X8), 42-inch EDTV Plasma Monitor (PME-42V8), 42-inch HDTV-Ready Plasma Monitor (PME-42X10), and the 50-inch HDTV-Ready Plasma Monitor (PME-50X10).

All of the new Ethernet-enabled Sampo Professional displays work with the proprietary, easy-to-use DisplayNet software enabling administrators to monitor, control and schedule tasks for a network of IP-addressable displays from a single network computer, eliminating the need for costly control systems or PCs at display end points. In addition to lowering the cost of deployment and increasing operational efficiencies, the network control capability further enhances the ability of the Sampo Professional displays to support emerging video applications such as video on demand, emergency and security notification, distance learning, and videoconferencing.

"Deployments of multiple displays in public and corporate venues can be problematic in that an administrator often has to dedicate a considerable amount of time and resources to do seemingly simple tasks such as powering each display on and off, changing channels or video inputs, adjusting volume, and adjusting video settings," explained Andy Fischer, National Sales Manger. "The market has been waiting for an affordable video display solution that combines outstanding video performance with network control capability and our entire 2006 product line delivers these capabilities. The response from our resellers and channel partners has been strong and we're anticipating substantial adoption in the commercial, education and government segments."
