StockPickReport Commentary -- April 05, 2006
Warning: What goes up must come down. And, folks, I've said for a couple weeks that the markets are overbought. The S&P, in particular, is at daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and heck, MILLENNIUM highs right now.
(Okay, maybe "millennium" is a bit much.)
On a relative basis stocks are due for a pull back. Now, that's not a bad thing, it's just not a bad idea to step back and take some profits. I mean, that is why you buy stocks, right? To sell them, I hope.
I see the S&P in an uptrend yet due for a move back to 1250-1275 before a more prolonged move higher. Stocks like Intel (Nasdaq:INTC) are particularly vulnerable due to their relatively high beta compared to other, non-tech, stocks.
