StockPickReport Commentary -- April 05, 2006
Oil Commentary Part 2:
So, if you are in Canada, no problem, you can buy Canadian Oil Sands on the Toronto exchange. If you are in the U.S. or elsewhere, you can buy it on the pink sheets. Remember, this is a very big company. It's not a pink sheet penny stock. Probably, you can just type in "COSWF" in your online broker in the U.S. On Canadian online brokerages, just search for the ticker symbol since it is listed as a trust and these symbols are sometimes different.
There is also rumor of a 4:1 stock split on Canadian Oil Sands. This, combined with its low valuation compared to Suncor, and comparable expected output, we like Canadian Oil Sands very much. Also, the fact that it's not listed on the NYSE means the demand hasn't kicked in yet, since it is more difficult to buy. If it is ever listed on the NYSE, you will probably be glad you were in first. Many, many Canadian equity funds already hold Canadian Oil Sands. -- Neil Batho, StockPickReport Analyst
