In order to find the top suppliers in the Convenience Store industry, Convenience Store Decisions hired the independent research firm, Hagen Marketing Research Inc., to determine which product manufacturers and suppliers regularly call on convenience stores and to learn more about the merchandise and promotional programs these suppliers are making available.

According to Convenience Store Decisions, the study was conducted through interviews with buyers and merchandisers from 95 convenience and petroleum chains ranging in size from five stores to more than 5,000. Combined, the chains accounted for more than $68 billion in sales in 2005.
