Universal Computer Systems Helps Dealerships Reduce Costs By Capitalizing On VoIP Technology


HOUSTON, May 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Computer Systems (UCS) announced its newest enhancement to the Telephone Cost Control application (TCC) -- integration with the Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system.

Telephone Cost Control provides the ability to track every phone call, local or long distance, made by each employee so dealers can monitor telephone expenses more closely and verify personnel are making their required follow-up calls. TCC also provides statistics to help dealers make informed decisions about purchasing additional telephone capacity.

Due to the benefits of reduced costs and improved call quality, more and more UCS clients are migrating to VoIP phone systems. VoIP phone systems use the Internet and the dealership LAN to make phone calls, eliminating the need for dealerships to pay surcharges beyond the cost of Internet access. And because dealerships with a VoIP phone system can use the same cabling as their LAN, additional hardware costs are eliminated as well.
