AUSTIN, Texas, May 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- BlabberMouth L.P., the only public relations firm to offer its clients 100% representation by senior-level practitioners, was named a Finalist today in the Best Agency category in The 2006 American Business Awards.
Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 800 executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio.
More than 1,500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. BlabberMouth PR will be competing in the Best Communications Organization category for its accomplishments and excellence in public relations.
"BlabberMouth is setting the PR industry on its ear," said Patti D. Hill, President and Founder, BlabberMouth PR. "We set out to create a new set of benchmark standards for PR practitioners and corporate executives have responded, making BlabberMouth's campaigns a much sought-after commodity. Being named a finalist for a Stevie Award confirms that we've hit the nail squarely on the head."
The BlabberMouth model is designed to provide seasoned, single-person representation, accountability, and top-notch efficiency. BlabberMouth is unique in that it seeks and attracts professionals whose academic and career accomplishments place them at the top of their profession. This practice creates a diversified knowledge-base within the firm in multiple disciplines, including psychology, law, information technology, training, marketing, manufacturing, etc.
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners this week from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in March through early May.
The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.
"Being named a Finalist in The American Business Awards is an important achievement," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. "It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition."
