Aveta Files Amended S-1 Registration Statement With SEC for Offering of Common Stock Issued in Private Placement


NEW YORK, June 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Aveta Inc., one of the largest companies focusing on Medicare Advantage and a leader in addressing the healthcare needs of the chronically ill, announced today that it has filed Amendment No. 1 to its Form S-1 Registration Statement previously filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 11, 2006 and relating to the private placement offering of 28.8 million shares of common stock pursuant to an exemption from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933 as amended. The sale of 28.8 million common shares was completed on December 29, 2005. The company's amended Form S-1 registration statement is available on the SEC website at www.sec.gov.
