Wireless Age Announces 2006 Second Quarter Revenues of $7.7 Million


TORONTO, July 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wireless Age Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:WLSA), a leading supplier of solutions to the Canadian wireless communications industry, today announced that unaudited consolidated revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 were approximately $7.7 million.

Year to date June 30, 2006 consolidated revenues were approximately $14.8 million, retail operating segment revenues were approximately $6.0 million and commercial operating segment revenues were approximately $8.8 million. 2006 second quarter consolidated revenues were approximately $7.7 million, retail operating segment revenues were approximately $3.3 million and commercial operating segment revenues were approximately $4.4 million.

Consolidated revenues increased by approximately 21.6%, retail segment revenues grew organically by approximately 18.7% and commercial operating segment revenues increased by 23.9% during the quarter. Year to date consolidated revenues were up by approximately 43.7%, retail revenues were up by approximately 25.9% and commercial operating segment revenues increased by 59.1%.
