New Hotel Brand Comes to Brownsville, Texas: Value Place Offers Low-Cost, Clean, Safe, Simple Lodging

Concept from Inventor of Extended Stay Hotels, Founder of 3 Others

BROWNSVILLE, Texas, July 24, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Travelers to Brownsville, Texas, can now choose a safer, cleaner, lower-cost extended stay hotel -- from the inventor of the extended stay concept. The new Value Place (www.valueplace.com) is located at Highway 77 and Media Luna Road in Brownsville.

Value Place -- conceived by Jack DeBoer -- is one of the fastest growing hotel brands in the country. DeBoer also founded Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites and Candlewood Suites. All are extended stay brands.

Weekly rates are just $179 at the 121-room Brownsville hotel. Value Place offers an affordable approach to safer, cleaner, simpler lodging. The company thinks Brownsville is a perfect fit for the extended stay brand. Reservations may be made online or by calling 956-542-7990.

"Brownsville is an exciting market for us," says Value Place President David Redfern. "Along with our core customers in construction and business, we'll serve unique travelers in Brownsville: traveling medical professionals, members of the border patrol and U.S. customs officials."

National Guard soldiers on temporary duty with the border patrol are potential customers, too. Value Place hotels are also popular with per diem travelers and independent business travelers, as well.

The company has also just opened a Value Place in Pharr, Texas, and plans a January opening for another in Harlingen, Texas.
