WHAT: Nominations for the 2006 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards, which acknowledge the contributions and accomplishments of the world's leading wireless companies and individuals in the 3G CDMA industry, are now being accepted by the CDMA Development Group (CDG), (www.cdg.org). 3G Industry Achievement Awards: 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards will be given in the categories of: -- Industry Leadership -- International Leadership -- Service Innovation -- Subscriber Technology Innovation -- Network Technology Innovation -- Innovative Solutions -- Universal Services Awards will also be given to recognize excellence in the development and deployment of applications for the consumer and enterprise sectors. Consumer Awards: The consumer awards were developed with the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) (www.m-e-f.org) and will be presented for the most innovative: -- Music/Audio Application -- Use of Music -- Mobile Game Development -- Use of Mobile Television -- Entertainment Technology Development -- Social Networking Application Enterprise Awards: The enterprise awards will be presented in partnership with Mobile Enterprise Magazine (www.mobileenterprisemag.com) and will be awarded for the most innovative: -- Wireless Enterprise Solution Implementation -- Wireless Enterprise Solution Development HOW TO NOMINATE: Nominations are open to the public and will be accepted online at www.cdg.org. WHEN: Deadline: The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, October 25, 2006. WHERE: Awards Night: The 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards will be presented by the CDG in Hong Kong during the week of December 4, 2006, when both the 3G World Congress and ITU Telecom World 2006 will be taking place. WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a trade association formed to foster the worldwide development, implementation and use of CDMA2000 technologies. The more than 130 member companies of the CDG include many of the world's largest wireless carriers and equipment manufacturers. The primary activities of the CDG include development of CDMA2000 features and services, public relations, education and seminars, regulatory affairs and international support. Currently, there are more than 500 individuals working within various CDG subcommittees on CDMA2000-related matters.
