5G Wireless Announces New G-Force(TM) PicoCell

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 17, 2006 -- 5G Wireless Communications Inc. (OTCBB: FGWI), a leader in the wireless broadband industry, today announced that it's new G-Force™ 850 b/g PicoCell, a self-enclosed "antenna" capable of connecting Wi-Fi signals without clear line of sight, is available to the public. This new addition to the Wi-Fi deployment hardware line G-Force™ will offer such entities as colleges, universities and the time share resort marketplace a compact easy to install device for supporting wireless networking needs.

Used either indoors or outdoors, PicoCell technology extends coverage to areas in which wireless signals traditionally have trouble accessing. The new PicoCell base stations offered by 5G operate on the standard 802.11 b/g wireless frequency and have data rates up to 54 Mbps on the 802.11 g and 11 Mbps on the 802.11 b modes. These mini base stations are equipped with security features which ultimately allow different levels of security based on a user's needs. Each station also has remote management and maintenance capabilities by way of an easy to use web interface. Additionally, because of its minimal hardware requirements and the PicoCell's ability to connect to a network without a clear line of sight, it can be a cost-effective solution for institutions such as schools or municipalities on tight budgets.
