Siela Bynoe Named Executive Director Huntington Housing Authority

HUNTINGTON, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2006 -- Siela Bynoe has been named as the new
Executive Director of the Huntington Housing Authority (HHA). The
authority is an independent public corporation established by state law to
provide federally financed public housing for low-income residents in
Huntington.
Prior to joining the HHA, Bynoe was Assistant Director of the North
Hempstead Housing Authority in Great Neck. Her list of accomplishments
includes managing the relocation of 66 families during the reconstruction
of a housing complex and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the
housing authority.

the Huntington Housing Authority," said Dr. William Spencer, Chairman of
the Board of Commissioners for the HHA. "She brings an excellent set of
skills to the table and is highly competent in managing tenant, board and
community relationships. She possesses strong leadership, negotiation and
project management capabilities."
Bynoe has more than 10 years of consumer banking and client relationship
management experience. She is highly proficient in credit analysis,
financial and mortgage counseling and fraud prevention. "I am looking
forward to serving the Huntington community as the Executive Director of
the HHA," added Bynoe. "With nearly a decade of government, non-for-profit
affordable/public housing administration and construction experience, I am
looking forward to ensuring that Huntington remains the Long Island leader
in working to meet the tremendous demand for affordable housing," she
continued.
Bynoe is a graduate of Hofstra University and received a Master's in Public
Administration from Long Island University. She is a member of the
Association of Professional Mortgage Women (APMW), the National Association
of Housing Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) and had served on the
Chairperson's Advisory Committee for Long Island University.

established by state law to provide federally financed public housing for
low-income residents within the Huntington area. With an annual budget of
more than $5 million, it oversees the Millennium Hills complex, Gateway
Gardens, a public housing complex of 40 apartments, and oversees an
extensive program of rental assistance that serves numerous residents. The
HHA is responsible for oversight of funding flowing through HUD and the
annual reporting of such expenditures. The HHA provides guidance, policies
and information for public housing complexes within Huntington.
