REDMOND, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 8, 2006 -- Today, the Authentication and Online Trust

the Email Authentication Summit. The event is the premiere venue for brand
managers, email marketers, advertising agencies, IT professionals, law
enforcement and policy decision makers to explore email best practices, Web
and domain authentication and strategies to improve deliverability and
restore consumer online confidence and trust. The Authentication and Online
Trust Summit takes place at the Boston Sheraton April 18-19, 2007. Speaking
proposals will be accepted until December 15, 2006.
AOTA's steering committee members include Acxiom Digital, Datran Media,
Direct Marketing Association, the Email Sender and Provider Coalition,
Epsilon, IronPort Systems, MarkMonitor, Microsoft Corporation, RSA, the
Security Division of EMC, Secure Computing Corporation and Symantec
Corporation.
"We're very pleased with the unparalleled level of collaboration and
leadership from the Steering Committee members and event underwriters,"
said Craig Spiezle, chairman of AOTA and director of Windows Live Safety at
Microsoft Corp. "We stand united in advancing online safety and brand
protection for businesses and users alike. The sharing of best practices
and solutions from the summit is important to help assure the vitality of
the Internet in light of growing online threats, deceptive email and social
engineering exploits. We're looking forward to continued progress to
promote online safety, while advancing efforts to shut down online
criminals and predators."
Over 1,000 leading businesses, ISPs, technical and marketing professionals
attended the past two Email Authentication Summits, which was mainly
focused on the latest standards of email authentication, best practices and
lessons learned. Overwhelming response has led to an expanded focus and
agenda as well as several enhancements this year, extending the conference
to two full days and three tracks. Complementing the leadership of the
Steering Committee, support for the event includes over 30 leading business
and industry organizations including the Anti-Phishing Working Group,
Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group, TRUSTe and the US Chamber of Commerce.
AOTA is calling for forward-thinking speaker proposals that clearly tie
back to business value and provide actionable insight for summit attendees.
Case studies and customer deployment data are strongly encouraged that
examine areas such as Sender ID, DKIM, domain protection, social
engineering exploits, ISP best practices, ID theft, ebanking, anti-phishing
solutions, reputation/accreditation and online marketing. To register or
