5G Wireless to Provide Broadband Wireless Infrastructure in Bahrain

AngelWireless, Using 5G Wireless' Equipment, Will Build VOIP and Data Broadband Infrastructure for 150 Square KM Area in Bahrain -- Transaction Valued at About $6,000,000

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 12, 2006 -- 5G Wireless Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: FGWI), a leader in the wireless broadband industry, today announced it has signed a contract with AngelWireless of Beirut, Lebanon. 5G will provide broadband wireless equipment for the Bahrain project as reported by AngelWireless in August 2006. 5G has already received a partial order for the first cluster out of an expected 20-25 cluster orders; each cluster is estimated at $250,000, bringing the total value of the contract to around $6,000,000.

Once the network is completed, broadband connectivity will be made available to approximately 150 square kilometers and the entire population of 700,000 people in Bahrain. Each cluster is expected to be deployed within 30-60 days from receipt of goods in Bahrain. Completion of the contract is expected to be within 18-24 months. The network will serve both private and public sectors from private user to corporate businesses (banking), and governmental applications like IP surveillance, police department applications. The network will be covering both outdoor and indoor applications using high performance client devices where necessary.

"5G Wireless is excited to help AngelWireless bring VOIP, IP Camera and data broadband infrastructure that will effect the entire population of Bahrain," says Jerry Dix, CEO. "Bahrain is home to many multinational banking and petroleum firms and its important for that population to have trusted communications systems in place. We've been working with AngelWireless for the past several months in bringing this project to fruition and in assisting them in the selection of routers, switches, gateways and all other networking gear that will be necessary to provide a stable network in Bahrain."

"AngelWireless is grateful for 5G support from the beginning of the project and we have great confidence in the 5G WiFi technology which we consider to be in strategic alliance with 5G Wireless, a company that closely matches our goals to simplify large-scale wireless networks," notes Hassane Mroue, General Manager of AngelWireless. 80% of homes in Bahrain have phone service but only 5% have broadband with only 50 existing hotspots so this will be an important step in improving the communications infrastructure of the country."

"The success of the deployment in Bahrain will be considered the first country-wide wireless broadband network where users will be roaming with the same subscription at any point in the covered area, and we believe that our deployment will raise many questions on the up-coming WiMax technology and its feasibility," says Mr. Mroue.

AngelWireless' contract with UniTelecom Bahrain, a VOIP company having a license for 2.4Ghz PTMP Euro standard and 5.8Ghz PTP, is to deploy a broadband wireless network to cover all populated areas of Bahrain (150Km2). UniTelecom is represented by Sami Mohamad Radhi, a successful businessman in the VOIP and SIP market in Bahrain. AngelWireless will also operate and monitor the management of the network and billing on behalf of UniTelecom for a period of two years from the date of final deployment.

About 5G Wireless Communications, Inc.

5G Wireless Communications, Inc. is a wireless systems infrastructure company with technology and network architecture based on standard IEEE 802.11b/g Wi-Fi equipment. The 5G Wi-Fi system functions through macro-cell base stations deployed in key areas, while dead spots are filled in with smaller micro cells following the proven deployment strategy used today by cellular carriers. This type of structural design allows for a well-tailored combination of cells resulting in the ability to add higher capacity where and when needed. 5G Wireless Base Stations have the advantage of multiple usage and varying functionalities for both the private and public sectors, including governance and administration for government departments, security and intelligence purposes, and educational uses, as well as for the management of data by businesses and companies. 5G Wireless' value proposition -- significantly increased performance at the lowest possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) -- is quickly becoming a key consideration in the strategic deployment of the wireless experience. The company is located in Marina del Rey, CA. For additional information call 800.916.1611 or visit www.5gwireless.com.
