CHICAGO, Jan. 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- RSM EquiCo Capital Markets LLC, a global investment bank, has appointed Paul Bodet vice president.
Bodet, who is based in the firm's Chicago office, will provide merger and acquisition and capital-raising advisory services to the firm's investment banking clients. His primary responsibility will be to help expand RSM EquiCo Capital Market's presence in technology sectors such as software and communications.
"Paul brings 10 years of investment banking experience in the technology sector, executing M&A and financing transactions as well as leveraging off of his operational and technological experience," said Brian Boyle, managing director and head of the firm's Chicago office. "He has developed deep industry knowledge and established relationships with an array of tech company buyers and investors. Moreover, his familiarity with various technologies and business models enables him to effectively promote client companies to strategic buyers and private equity investors."
Prior to joining RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, Bodet worked at TechCap Advisors, a Boston-based middle-market investment bank, where he advised software and communications companies on mergers, acquisitions and private placements. Before that he executed M&A and financing transactions for the technology investment banking group of Banc of America Securities LLC (formerly Montgomery Securities LLC). Bodet's experience also includes working in Corning's Opto-Electronics business development group, where he evaluated acquisition opportunities and reviewed potential technology targets in growth areas.
He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a master's in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He holds NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
