Healthcare Industry Leader Jane Gould Appointed to Patient Portal Technologies, Inc.'s Healthcare Advisory Board

(Pink Sheets:PPRG) announced today that Jane Gould, CEO of Virtual Nurse, Inc., has been appointed to the Company's Healthcare Advisory Board, which is chaired by the Hon. J. Joseph Garrahy, former Governor of Rhode Island.

As a healthcare industry professional, Ms. Gould built one of the largest home health organizations in the U.S. and co-chaired the board that oversaw the operations of the New York State-funded pharmaceutical program for the elderly (EPIC). Ms. Gould has been recognized nationally as a leader in the field of aging, and was chair of the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Units on Aging. She has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Home Care Association of New York State and served in the cabinet of former New York State Governor Mario M. Cuomo as the Director of the New York State Office for the Aging.

Jane Gould, Professional Biography:

Prior to joining Virtual Nurse in 2006, Jane Gould served as president and chief executive officer of the Visiting Nurse Regional Health Care System (VNR) serving the Metropolitan New York area. Ms. Gould built VNR into the third largest home-health organization in the region with a budget of $90 million and a staff of 1400 professionals and paraprofessionals. She is chair of the Board of Directors of the Home Care Association of New York State (HCA), which represents certified and licensed home care agencies, long-term home health care programs, and hospices. Prior to joining VNR, Ms. Gould served in the cabinet of former Governor Mario M. Cuomo as the Director of the New York State Office for the Aging. In addition, she also co-chaired the board, with the Commissioner of Health, that oversaw the operations of the state-funded pharmaceutical program for the elderly (EPIC). Ms. Gould has been recognized nationally as a leader in the field of aging and was president of the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Units on Aging, the Washington, D.C.-based organization that represents all state Offices for the Aging. Ms. Gould chaired the NYS Delegation to the 1995 White House Conference on Aging. She has frequently testified before legislative committees in New York State government and committees of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Ms. Gould is a Fellow of the Brookdale Center on Aging, Hunter College of the City University of New York. She attended Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government Program for State and Local Government Executives. She is a graduate of Boston University and completed her graduate studies at Boston University's Graduate School of Education.
