Nobel Biocare and Stockholm University, Sweden, Sign Research Partnership Agreement


ZURICH, Switzerland, Feb. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Nobel Biocare announces the signing of a partnership with the internationally renowned Swedish Faculty of Science at Stockholm University. The partnership will further strengthen research in the field of dental materials.

The Nobel Biocare partnership with Stockholm University focuses on the efforts to promote the study of developing new biocompatible materials and material processes for esthetical dental solutions, particularly in ceramic materials.

Nobel Biocare, the market leader in ceramic solutions, and Stockholm University, have signed a five-year research partnership whereas Nobel Biocare will establish a Chair of Materials Innovation at the Department of Physical, Inorganic and Structural Chemistry. The Stockholm University will appoint Professor Dr. Zhijian Shen to the Chair.
