Alberta Ingenuity Fund Deploys NeoAccel SSL VPN-Plus(TM) for Secure, Transparent Remote Access
High Performance SSL VPN Replaces Remote Control Access
| Source: NeoAccel
SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 1, 2007 -- NeoAccel, developer of the most
advanced, high-performance network access solutions, today announced that
Alberta Ingenuity Fund, a government-funded organization that funds
technology research and development in the Canadian province of Alberta,
has deployed its
SSL VPN-Plus solution to enable transparent, fully secure access to
network resources from any location.
Alberta Ingenuity Fund's users had relied on remote control products to
provide connectivity between Microsoft Outlook clients and Exchange
servers, but with people starting to dial in from hotels and airports, IT
Administrator Iles Wade became very concerned about security and wanted a
simpler solution. "I didn't want the management overhead of bundled
operating system VPN solutions. After seeing SSL VPN-Plus, I talked with
other NeoAccel customers and they were very pleased with it, so we deployed
it and I've never looked back," says Wade. "Our users install easily the
SSL VPN-Plus client themselves, and I haven't had to even think about the
NeoAccel appliance since I installed it, except than to add users."
Wade also reports that users who had become aggravated with the old remote
access process have gained new respect for the IT department. "SSL VPN-Plus
has really made me some new friends among our user community," he said.
NeoAccel offers both clientless and client-based remote access, depending
on application support requirements. SSL VPN-Plus's small, dynamically
updateable client provides endpoint security validation and access to all
of the Fund's applications and network resources. In addition, VPN-Plus's
client enables NeoAccel's patented architecture, which eliminates
performance degradation found in all other SSL VPN solutions. The result is
an overall user experience far better than other IPSec or other SSL VPN
solutions.
"Like Alberta Ingenuity Fund, many companies are now realizing the
importance of adding security to their remote access," said Frank Guerrero,
vice president of marketing at NeoAccel. "With SSL VPN-Plus, they can
provide granular security not possible with IPsec VPNs while actually
improving the user experience and significantly reducing administrative
overhead."
