(NYSE:ILA) today reelected three directors to its board and ratified the appointment of KPMG LLP as the company's independent registered public accountant. The company's annual meeting was held in Blue Springs, MO, a community in Aquila's service territory.
Approximately 88.6 percent of the company's outstanding shares were voted. Directors reelected were:
* Irvine O. Hockaday, Jr., retired president and chief executive officer of Hallmark Cards, was first elected to Aquila's board in 1995. * Heidi E. Hutter, manager of Black Diamond Capital Partners, was first elected to Aquila's board in 2002. * Dr. Stanley O. Ikenberry, former president of the American Council on Education and president emeritus and regent professor of the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill, was first elected to Aquila's board in 1993.
