SAN ANTONIO, May 9, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Sweet Success Enterprises (OTCBB:SWTS), the maker of a line of innovative and delicious healthy-lifestyle beverages, announced today that the company's revolutionary GlucaSafe -- a functional health beverage -- will be a sponsor of the upcoming American Diabetes Association (ADA) Tour de Cure bicycle ride from San Antonio to Austin, TX on May 19th and 20th.
GlucaSafe's sponsorship of ADA events began last month at the ADA Expo event in San Antonio. These are the first of many such events in which Sweet Success plans to join forces with the ADA in a sponsorship effort to help raise the funds to develop a cure for this epidemic disease. GlucaSafe, which contains green and white tea, pomegranate extract and Cinnulin PF(r), a popular ingredient that may support healthy glucose levels in many individuals, supports enhanced body composition, may assist in maintaining healthy blood pressure and acts as a powerful antioxidant in many individuals.
"We are excited about this innovative drink and will continue to sponsor events which will help educate the diabetic and pre-diabetic population -- which is estimated at 70 million by the ADA -- about the benefits of GlucaSafe," said Sweet Success CEO, William Gallagher. "It's a huge market and we want to completely saturate it with GlucaSafe."
Sweet Success plans to support the ADA by exhibiting and sampling GlucaSafe, as well as providing consumers with product information, at various ADA Expo events across the country. A full list of ADA's planned events can be found at the ADA's website -- www.diabetes.org.
Additionally, as diabetes is certainly no friend to children, Sweet Success intends to be a sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) "Sugar Show 2007" event to be held later this month at Six Flags Over Georgia. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International is the world's largest charitable financial supporter and advocate of type 1 diabetes research. JDRF provided more than $123 million to diabetes research in 2006 alone.
