MessageOne Announces Apple iPhone Support for EMS Email Continuity Solution

iPhone Users Will Be Able to Access Business Critical Applications Through Apple's iPhone Using MessageOne Services

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - June 28, 2007) - MessageOne, the leading business continuity and email management company, today announced support for the Apple iPhone. MessageOne's email management services (EMS) will enable business users to utilize the iPhone's web browser to access their corporate email through MessageOne's EMS Continuity™ solution when their company's primary email system has either failed, or has been intentionally brought down for maintenance.

Despite the promise of the iPhone putting the mobile internet in the hands of a whole new crop of users, most corporate IT departments have issued edicts banning the device for business use. MessageOne's application support of the iPhone assuages legitimate corporate IT concerns by leveraging the iPhone's web browser allowing users to access EMS through a secure 128-bit SSL-encrypted web session.

Today, if a company's Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes email system goes down for any reason, MessageOne's EMS Email Continuity enables users to keep working without interruption in Outlook, a web browser, or a Blackberry wireless device. Starting on Friday with the launch of the iPhone, MessageOne customers will be able to use another mobile device to access the EMS backup email system. If the primary corporate email system goes down for any reason, users will be able to send and receive corporate messages, access historical mail, and view corporate calendars and contacts from any iPhone. As with all other supported devices, EMS Email Continuity ensures that all messages are stored in accordance with the company's email policy.

"Over the next year, millions of employees will begin carrying the iPhone -- a powerful mobile device with the potential to serve as back-up infrastructure during a disaster or system outage," said Paul D'Arcy, vice president of marketing at MessageOne. "We strongly believe the iPhone will provide another important access tool for disaster recovery and email continuity. With MessageOne's EMS Email Continuity, our customers' employees willl be able to use an iPhone to access corporate email during any crisis or disaster without violating corporate security or compliance policies."
