EMS Technologies Completes DSpace Acquisition

ATLANTA, July 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELMG), reported today the completion of its acquisition of DSpace Pty. Ltd., of Adelaide, Australia, for (U.S.) $5.7 million. The transaction was originally announced on June 25.

DSpace is now an operating entity of the SATCOM Division of EMS. A pioneer in developing Inmarsat's BGAN satellite radio protocols, DSpace has developed a new low-cost software-defined radio that will allow a variety of satellite communication platforms to be continuously upgraded as technology rapidly improves. BGAN is Inmarsat's ground-breaking mobile broadband service. Available in 175 countries, it provides voice and high-speed data connectivity that is beyond the reach of terrestrial networks.

"We are pleased that the acquisition is now complete, and we can begin to benefit from the synergy of DSpace and EMS's SATCOM business to fully exploit opportunities we see to grow our leadership position in aeronautical broadband communications," says Paul Domorski, president and CEO of EMS Technologies.
