HealthSport Adds Collegiate Teams to Enlyten Roster

AMHERST, N.Y., Aug. 16, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HealthSport, Inc. (OTCBB:HSPO) announced today that numerous college and university athletic departments have placed orders through Enlyten's distributor, Medco, for their new electrolyte delivery product, the Enlyten(tm) SportStrips(tm) (http://enlytenstrips.com). As school athletic departments prepare for Fall Semester sports, returning student athletes will be introduced to the new electrolyte replenishment strips and a novel new method of resolving hydration issues. Perennial fatigue and cramping problems, typically associated with poor hydration, are often the result of uncontrollable electrolytes and mineral loss. The Enlyten SportStrips offer a more efficient and direct delivery than gastric methods like sports drinks or tablets mixed into water. Because the electrolytes are absorbed through the mouth directly into the bloodstream, the strips allow players to maintain optimal electrolyte levels.

Medco reported that the following colleges and universities have purchased Enlyten SportStrips: University of Florida, Florida State University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, South Carolina State University, Texas Tech, University of Houston, and the University of Illinois. Purchases were also made by Alabama State University, Ball State University, Lagrange College, Lambuth University, Mercer University, Middle Tennessee State University, Millsaps College, Oral Roberts University, Pacific University, University of Wyoming, University of West Georgia, and the University of Buffalo.

Enlyten SportStrips replace the electrolytes lost during vigorous athletic activity through a proprietary edible film strip delivery technology. Demonstrated scientifically to be a faster and more efficient way to deliver nutritional supplements and drug actives than ingesting them into the gastro-intestinal tract, the electrolyte content of the flavored film strip is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the soft tissue of the inner cheek and gum -- a direct mode of electrolyte absorption unique to Enlyten SportStrips. On a cellular level, fluid is generally rejected by electrolyte deficient cells, so athletes tend to compensate by consuming excessive amounts of fluid which can result in conditions like cramping and vomiting. Enlyten provides an effective new method of maintaining proper electrolyte levels, helping athletes to optimize hydration and their level of physical performance.

"We are very excited about the response we have received from colleges and universities across the country," said Bill Graham, Vice President of Sales for Medco. "During our travels, we have received a lot of positive feedback about the Enlyten SportStrips and how they have been helping the athletes. We are very encouraged by what we are hearing."

University of Wyoming Head Athletic Trainer, Robb Williams, commented, "The Enlyten SportStrips is an outstanding new product and a fantastic electrolyte delivery alternative. My athletes are constantly asking me for the product -- before, during, and after practice. My linemen have told me that they don't have to go out onto the field with a full belly of water. Fluids are absorbed into the body quicker and that is one of the many benefits we have found in using the Enlyten SportStrips."
