New Managing Director of Kaupthing Bank Oyj in Finland

Lauri Mikael Rosendahl has been appointed as the new Managing
Director of Kaupthing Bank Oyj in Finland. Mr. Rosendahl has recently
worked for Carnegie Investment Bank AB at its Helsinki branch as
Branch Manager and Head of Securities. Previously, he worked for ABN
AMRO and Deutsche Bank in similar positions, both in Finland. Mr.
Rosendahl brings more than 20 years of experience to the Kaupthing
Group. Mr. Rosendahl will take up his new position on 1 December
2007.

Tommi Salunen, Managing Director of Kaupthing Bank Oyj, will perform
his duties until 1 December 2007, and will assist Mr. Rosendahl until
the end of the year.
