Neuendettelsau Deaconry, Bavaria's largest Protestant social welfare organization, expands HIS solution to another clinic
Mortsel, Belgium / Bonn, Germany - September 18, 2007 - 11:00 CET
Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today it is currently introducing its ORBIS (TM) Hospital Information System (HIS) in the Rangauklinik Ansbach, near Nuremberg, in southern Germany. ORBIS will be used in the clinic's Medical Rehabilitation Center, which provides 64 beds for rehab patients and 90 for acute cases. The Rangauklinik, which is part of the Neuendettelsau Deaconry, is the third facility of the hospital group to introduce ORBIS. The Hospital Information System will help to further integrate the different hospitals in the organization.
The Neuendettelsau Deaconry Group opted for Agfa HealthCare's ORBIS Hospital Information System (HIS) in order to meet the complex demands involved in running its various clinics. As Dr. Markus Horneber, Chief Administrative Director of the Deaconry explains: "We have been ORBIS customers from the earliest days. This powerful, unified IT solution enables us to provide optimal support for our highly motivated personnel in their everyday work situations, and to maintain a process of ongoing improvement for our patients. We will be carrying on this successful collaboration with Agfa HealthCare in the years ahead, to ensure that we are ideally equipped for future challenges in the medical sector."
Mark A. Hoffmann, Agfa HealthCare Sales Manager Germany, adds: "Since the hospital market is highly complex and subject to constant change, the critical factors for success are top quality, on-time implementation, and smoothly functioning processes. The fact that the Neuendettelsau Deaconry - which places very special demands on an end-to-end hospital information system - has again opted for ORBIS, is a further endorsement of our reputation of being a powerful and reliable partner for hospital personnel and management."
