PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - September 26, 2007) - PlugandPlay Tech Center, a startup incubator
based in Sunnyvale, hosted the PlugandPlay EXPO, the premier Silicon Valley
showcase introducing "best of the breed" emerging ICT, Media and CleanTech
companies, which introduced their product and service offerings in the
current year. In a start-up competition, PlugandPlay recognized Gigya, the
emerging widget distribution and tracking network, as one of top four
start-up companies. Gigya is funded by Benchmark Capital and First Round
Capital. Other award-winning companies included BlueGem Security, Zipidee
and Twiki.
"This is truly an honor being prized among so many of our peers throughout
Silicon Valley," says Eyal Magen, CEO of Gigya. "We're in good company and
are looking forward to sharing the same success as other PlugandPlay
luminaries such as MyWaves."
Gigya allows developers to let users post widgets to their social network
pages on MySpace and other social networks, blogs, and web sites with a
single click. It also provides distribution and usage analytics.
The PlugandPlay Tech Center offers a range of services to companies, from
office space and other facilities to web hosting. A number of notable
startups have come out of PlugandPlay since it launched a little more than
a year ago.
