| Source: ITonis
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC--(Marketwire - October 17, 2007) - ITonis Inc. (OTCBB : ITNS ) a global
provider of cutting edge IP-TV end to end solutions is very pleased to
announce the execution of a Minimum Sales Guarantee Contract with Nordic
IPTV Company Aps ("Nordic IPTV") in Copenhagen, Denmark.
ITonis Inc. is a developer, manufacturer and seller of IPTV solutions.
ITonis Inc. has developed a true IPTV solution for video content owners and
video content distributors that would enable the viewer to see his/her
favourite national or local TV programs from anywhere in the world at
leisure, either through a set-top box connected to the TV or through a
computer. ITonis Inc., an emerging player in the IPTV market place, allows
users of their product line to create unique revenue streams using a cost
effective 'end to end' software solution. Future expansion into emerging
markets, initially targeted as China, will help further validate and
solidify ITonis's business model for the IPTV space.
Under the new contract with ITonis Inc., Nordic IPTV intends to make
minimum revenue payments to ITonis Inc. of US$1.2 million from the
Scandinavian market over the next three years. The contract provides both
a business validation of ITonis's offering and an essential revenue stream
which ITonis can leverage off of to meet its stated business goal of
becoming the number one player in IPTV in the largely untapped and rapidly
growing emerging markets such as China and India. In these countries an
effective IPTV solution has the ability to leap-frog existing traditional
media to provide cost effective access to media content to an extremely
large and untapped consumer market.
Jesper Kauffeldt, President of Marketing and Sales of Nordic IPTV ApS, is
very optimistic on the future for ITonis in the Scandinavian market,
stating: "ITonis has a low cost comprehensive end-to-end IPTV solution,
which reduces the initial investment hurdle of entry for small to medium
sized operators."
Tom Roberts, President of ITonis Inc., states: "Various sized players in
the Scandinavian market who are looking for a cost effect product can
depend on ITonis' 'end to end' IPTV solution to fill this need. Our
continuing relationship with Nordic IPTV Aps allows ITonis the opportunity
to further develop its IPTV platform with an eye on larger markets like
China."
Nordic IPTV offers an IPTV end-to-end solution and has over the last four
years served major customers, including IBM and the Danish Crown. In the
Scandinavian market a current major customer for IPTV solutions is Dansk
Bredbaand A/S ("Danish Broadband"). Danish Broadband has currently almost
30,000 private households using its Internet TV solutions where movie and
broadcast television content, including from Viasat, is transmitted over
fibre optical networks. ITonis and Danish Broadband have explored
technology development collaboration and their IPTV technology is partly
based on the same platform.
