TEMECULA, Calif., Oct. 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Keyways Vineyard & Winery announced it will donate all the profits from its second Femina Vita Festival on Oct. 27-28 to victims of the Southern California wildfires.
"It's the least we can do for the thousands of people who have been affected by these horrific wildfires," said Terri Pebley, Keyways' owner. "We hope you will join us and the American Red Cross in reaching out to these unfortunate victims of this unforeseen tragedy."
The two-day arts and crafts festival celebrates the release of the winery's newest wine for women, Sweet Surrender, 2006 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc ($28).
In addition to proceeds from the event, Keyways officials will be on hand to accept donations from anyone interested in helping those who have been forced from their home during this regional tragedy.
The two-day event is also a great opportunity to brush up on your wines -- Carlsbad artist Terry Farrell will demonstrate how she paints watercolors using wine.
Farrell is among more than a dozen local artisans who will demonstrate their craft at the festival at Keyways.
Attendees will also get a chance to listen to the easy-going, Jewel-esque folksinger Mary Froemke, sip on award-winning wine and enjoy a Wine Country picnic lunch. Admission is free.
Keyways sits on about 13 acres at the confluence of the 2,000-acre Valle de los Caballos -- Valley of the Horses - and the southern tier of Temecula's Wine Country at 37338 DePortola Road. From the 15 freeway, head out Highway 79 South toward Indio, turn left on Anza Road and right on DePortola Road for about 2 miles.
