iambic Unveils Version 2 of Agendus for Windows Mobile
Now Optimized for Both First-Timers and Power Users With Expanded Functionality, More View Options and Many User Interface (UI) Enhancements
| Source: iambic, Inc.
SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - December 17, 2007) - iambic, Inc., a leading provider of
innovative productivity-enhancing software, today announced the release of
Agendus for Windows Mobile 2.0, a breakthrough solution for managing
personal information and communications on Windows Mobile-based phones such
as Palm Treo 750/700wv, Samsung Blackjack, AT&T Tilt, Motorola Q and HTC
Mogul. It has been optimized for first time users of Windows Mobile
devices. Plus, it is packed with many enhancements and a variety of
fine-grain customization options that will benefit the more experienced and
power users.
One of the areas of focus centered on how information and activities are
displayed. The Today View has an all-new "Look & Feel" and includes
options for changing the order of how information such as Meetings, Tasks,
Calls, Stock Quotes, Weather Forecast, and Quote of the Day appear. Many
new Views are available in Calendar mode, including a 7-Day Grid Mode in
the Week View, an Expanded Mode in the Month View and the Quarter View, and
a List View.
User experience was another area of focus. Agendus for Windows Mobile has
been simplified and optimized for one-handed navigation. Updated Stock
Quotes can now be easily obtained over-the-air from the Today View, along
with Weather, this Day in History and Quote of the Day with just one tap.
Plus the Daily Journal function, popular with owners of the Palm OS version
of Agendus, is now available, so incorporating and tracking meetings,
calls, tasks and more can be accomplished effortlessly.
"There has been strong growth in the number of Windows Mobile-based
smartphones that have shipped this year, attracting many first time users
as well as seasoned veterans," said Adriano Chiaretta, chief operating
officer of iambic, Inc. "With that in mind, we set out to really 'wow' the
first-timer by making Agendus for Windows Mobile an application that was
intuitive and fun to use. And for the experienced power users, we took
their input and made considerable improvements to the user interface and
expanded the functionality of Agendus, so they'd be 'wowed' too."
Part of the award-winning Agendus family of products, Agendus for Windows
Mobile shares the ease-of-use and superb contact management features that
have made it a favorite on Treos and other Palm OS-based devices. It uses
the same core data source as Pocket Outlook, so when changes are made in
one program, the other gets updated. Plus it works directly with the
Desktop ActiveSync and the Exchange Server ActiveSync Push technologies, so
synchronization with a desktop/notebook computer or Exchange server is
seamless.
Agendus for Window Mobile is compatible with Windows Mobile 5 or above
(this includes Windows Mobile 6 Classic and Professional Editions). More
