Radio and TV Show Host Travel Expert Stephanie Abrams Announces 2008 Plans to Take Shows on the Road With January Broadcasts From USVI

BOSTON, Dec. 19, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Radio and TV travel expert Stephanie Abrams announced today the 2008 remote broadcast locations for her nationally syndicated radio shows Travel with Stephanie Abrams and Traveling Feet. January 2008 debuts with six broadcasts from the U.S. Virgin Islands featuring the Westin St. John, St. Thomas' Marriott's Frenchman's Reef and Bolongo Bay Resort. These resorts were selected to highlight ranges of accommodations, unique locations, and lifestyle appeal.

Abrams' programming mission is to present destinations where travelers "will return uplifted, enriched, inspired, enhanced and know that they are better people for the experience! I choose destinations and resorts carefully to educate travelers on their charm, magic and mystique," Abrams states. "The U.S. Virgin Islands and these resorts are a perfect fit for my mission."

"The U.S. Virgin Islands holds a special place in my heart," says Abrams. "It's America's own tropical paradise which I think is completely misunderstood. My audiences will gain insights into the USVI that they are not going to get from any other media source. We'll broadcast from the luxurious Westin St. John where seclusion, serenity, every amenity and activity are delivered in relaxed elegance. In St. Thomas, we'll broadcast from Marriott's Frenchman's Reef and Bolongo Bay Resort, each incredibly different with unique appeal to very different travelers. It's very important for my audiences to know the variety of locations, accommodations styles and know there is a place for every taste and budget where hoteliers strive to exceed expectations for every age group and for those seeking the perfect place for conferences, conventions, reunions and destination weddings that fit their lifestyle and vision," Abrams notes.

Abrams chose the USVI to bring the destination to life on radio and at her award-winning website, www.sabrams.com, "to give travelers a true picture of what the destination has to offer visitors. Too many visitors arrive by cruise ship, take advantage of the $1600 per person duty-free allowance, which is twice the amount allowed for the rest of the Caribbean, and leave with no understanding of the incredible experiences they've missed by not spending 6 days instead of 6 hours in the USVI. Travelers need to experience the sense of wonderment that comes from immersing one's spirit in this glorious destination's indescribable natural beauty where warm hospitality exceeds travelers' expectations. And it's all-American! US citizens don't need passports!" Abrams notes.

"Doing remote broadcasts is a wonderful asset for our audiences to get the facts from the people who actually deliver the travel experience," Abrams notes. "I provide a forum for tourism leaders who provide the destination's services and who invest their lives and passions in creating lifelong memories for visitors. Personally," Abrams concludes, "the part I hate about the US Virgin Islands is leaving!

In addition to broadcasting on radio and TV, all shows are archived at www.sabrams.com.
