Peab Industri completes the acquisition of the remaining share of Vendels Grus On 9 January, 2008 Peab Industri, through its subsidiary Swerock, entered into an agreement to acquire the Municipality of Uppsala's share of Vendels Grus. Swerock already owned 50 per cent of the company, which after the acquisition will be a wholly owned subsidiary. After adoption of the agreement by the district council on 28 January, it has now become legally binding and Swerock has today come into possession of the remaining shares. Vendels Grus engages in the extraction of gravel from a number of pits around Uppsala. Its sales in 2007 amounted to SEK 55 million, and the company employs a staff of 11.
