SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - March 17, 2008) - Condrey Corporation announced today
at Novell BrainShare the
immediate availability of DocXchanger 1.0, a product that allows users to easily discover and
securely access their network files and folders from any location, enabling
interactive document sharing capabilities that eliminate email attachments.
"First, we're excited to introduce a storage access product that is
'evolutionary' in terms of the way people interactively work," remarked
Condrey Corporation CEO David Condrey. "Second, we're thrilled to deliver
a solution for many of the problems inherent to both using and managing
email in that, rather than users sending email attachments, DocXchanger
lets them securely share network files and folders with colleagues both
inside and outside of an organization, as easily as clicking a mouse,"
added Condrey.
Network-stored files and folders are shared through secure "sharing links"
that are embedded in an email notification and provide direct access to the
network-stored content.
Remote Access of Network Content
A major focus of product development was providing the means for
DocXchanger users to first be able to access network-stored files and
folders from anywhere, before making them available for sharing. Michael
Richichi, Director of Computing and Network Services at Drew University, is
grateful that Condrey Corporation had the foresight to develop this
technology.
"We have worked with the DocXchanger Client for some time now, and we're
convinced that its remote access capabilities will meet our growing off-campus access
needs," stated Richichi. After working extensively with DocXchanger beta
software, Richichi has become a big advocate for deploying it internally.
He added, "DocXchanger could not only eliminate wasted space on our email
servers, but also help document version control issues."
System Requirements
DocXchanger 1.0 utilizes Novell eDirectory and can be hosted on a Novell
NetWare 6.5 server or Novell Open Enterprise Server version 1 or 2. Future
plans include native support for Windows and Linux networks.
Pricing
DocXchanger 1.0 is priced on a user license basis with a price discount for
education customers. For additional pricing information, visit
