Flax oil is reported to benefit the heart and lessen the severity of diabetes. Among other attributes, flax oil has been reported to improve brain function and development, joint mobility, energy and endurance, cholesterol levels, and skin, hair and nail health. "During the last decade, demand for flax seed tripled," said Ron Eisenberg, Shape Foods' U.S. marketing director.
