DOYLESTOWN, Pa., April 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Alpha Resource Center, LLC (ARC), a leading provider of divorce mediation services and personal and family-based educational programming, announces the introduction of online Work-Life educational programs. ARC will market these educational programs to medium-sized and large corporations interested in providing their employees with a new and innovative work-life product that fosters healthy family relationships and personal growth in their employees. The educational programs will be delivered to company employees via webinars that can be accessed in the privacy of the employee's home. This format allows the employee to participate in an educational presentation conducted by a highly trained and experienced ARC legal, mental health, or financial professional. The participant can ask questions of the presenter and receive answers in real time and with complete anonymity. Archived webinars are also available for viewing at any time. Programs will be offered free during the month of April to familiarize users with the technology and content.
Many corporations now realize the important relationship between the quality of an employee's personal and family life outside the workplace and the employee's ability to function effectively and productively in the workplace. To address this source of cost, many corporations have implemented various types of Work-Life offering for their employees, including courses in stress management, effective communication in the workplace, and time-management. They also offer services such as child-care, eldercare, and errand running for their employees.
ARC founder and president, Keila Gilbert, Esq., notes, "ARC's online Work-Life education programs go beyond the basics included in most existing Work-Life programs. Our programs focus on core family-related aspects of employees' lives that many other Work-Life programs don't or won't touch, despite the fact that marital and family issues can have a huge impact on employee productivity in the workplace." Ms. Gilbert continues, "Research suggests that as many as 47% of couples report some degree of unhappiness in their marriage relationship. This situation presents a wide variety of costs for companies, many of which they may be unaware. For instance, take the problem of employee absenteeism. Research indicates that employees experiencing marital distress are prone to substantial absenteeism as a result of these problems. The result is that many large companies are losing millions of dollars per year in costs related to absenteeism due to marital stress. And this does not even begin to account for the intangible losses associated with stress-related poor performance while on the job."
Currently, ARC presents three educational series to address this important source of lost productivity and incurred cost. The Marriage Success 101 series helps employees strengthen their marriage and family life by transferring important relational and parenting skills, as well as family-related financial and legal knowledge. The Separation and Divorce series provides employees who are going through a divorce with skills that help them to protect their children emotionally, as well as their own legal rights. The New Beginnings series helps people to move forward effectively after their divorce is finalized by transferring skills related to engaging in new relationships, parenting effectively after divorce, and negotiating the financial and legal fallout that follows divorce. ARC will also be offering an online coaching program for couples that want to learn more specific skills to enhance their relationship.
ARC's mission is to educate and empower families to improve their marriages or intelligently navigate their divorce and establish a quality post-divorce life for themselves and their children.
