DENTON, TX and TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwire - April 16, 2008) - eInstruction, a leading provider
of interactive instructional and assessment solutions, and Assessment
Technology Incorporated (ATI), an innovator in research-based educational
management systems, announced an educational partnership today. Through
this partnership, school districts will have the ability to implement a
variety of innovative assessment, reporting, and curriculum tools,
including online instructional dialogs, using ATI's new Mercury application
and eInstruction's Classroom Performance System (CPS) clickers.
ATI's Galileo K-12 Online is a web-based educational management system
designed with state standards and local instructional tools built right in.
The new Mercury application, which is downloaded to the teacher's computers
directly from the internet, allows them to instantly launch benchmark and
formative assessments, view real time reports, and implement instructional
dialogs using their CPS clickers through Galileo K-12 Online.
"Mercury defines a new era of innovation in assessment and instruction. It
places the power of informed instruction directly into the hands of
teachers and students," said Steven LaFrance, former Technology Integration
Specialist at Tucson Unified School District. "The ease of use, time and
resource-saving attributes are tremendous. Students are now being assessed
in the natural way in which they live, digitally. Thank you for developing
this valuable resource."
"Teachers face many new challenges in today's classrooms. Our goal is to
provide technology that maintains the emphasis on student learning and
academic advancement," said Darrell Ward, CEO of eInstruction. "This new
partnership with ATI accomplishes that by combining two widely used
solutions that enhance classroom assessments."
"The digital age provides educators, parents, and students with the power
to promote learning in ways never before imagined," said John Bergan,
President of ATI. "Our new partnership with eInstruction opens the way for
online instructional dialogs between teachers and students that provide
teachers with feedback on what students are learning in real-time and
provide students with innovative opportunities to deepen knowledge and
understanding."
The new integrated offering is available to schools using both ATI and
eInstruction solutions. For more information on the partnership and how to
implement the new combined solution in your classroom, please email
