New Haven Parcxmart Card Tops One Million in Sales Volume

HAMPTON FALLS, N.H., June 19, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- New Haven's multi-application Parcxmart Card(tm), designed as a city card to streamline operating expenses and increase revenues for on-street parking operations and merchants citywide, announces surpassing one million dollars in total transaction volume.

"Given the continued growth of our program and having reached the $1 million mark in June this year, we are excited about the launch of the newly branded city card later this summer. It allows up to $500 loads for additional purchasing power and convenience for our cardholders. Toward that end we have launched the C Town grocery stores all of which are now accepting the New Haven Parcxmart card for purchases, promote the card at POS check out, and reload value onto our cards in their stores in New Haven," said John Regan, President and CEO.

Parcxmart's multi-application smart card is the first card of its kind to provide consumers with a prepaid general purpose card to make payments more convenient and secure for on-street and off-street parking as well as shopping for goods at local merchants.
