After testing the engine at both 15 miles per hour and 25 miles per hour, the California Emissions Analyzer indicated zero hydrocarbons (HC) and zero particles per million (PPM). In addition to testing well below the California exhaust emissions standards, these results illustrate the environmental benefits of the Hydrogen Assist Fuel Cell.

As a result of the Hydrogen Assist Fuel Cell installation, the Ford Fusion averaged 55 miles per gallon on a 3,000 mile cross-country trip. Prior to the modification, the Ford Fusion averaged only 25-28 miles per gallon, highway.
