INVITATION TO PRESS AND ANALYSTS BRIEFING ON RUUKKI GROUP'S INTERIM REPORT

Ruukki Group Plc, Stock Exchange Release, 1 August 2008 at 2:25 p.m.            
     
Ruukki Group‘s Interim Report for 1 January - 30 June 2008 will be published on 
Tuesday 5 August 2008. The Interim Report will be available on the company      
website at www.ruukkigroup.fi after publishing.                                 

Related to the Interim Report, analysts and press representatives are invited to
attend a briefing to be held on 5 August 12:00 p.m. onwards at World Trade      
Center Helsinki, Aleksanterinkatu 17, Helsinki.                                 

Furthermore, a conference call for analysts and investors, conducted in English,
will be held starting at 4:00 p.m. Finnish time.                                

Those wishing to participate, please register by Tuesday 5 August at 9:00 a.m.  
at the latest via email to marjo.lonka@ruukkigroup.fi. Further instructions to  
attend the conference call will be given after registration.
