CDMA Development Group to Host Live Webcast On September 17th

'Open Market Handsets for CDMA2000: Setting the Standard for Device Availability and Affordability'

 WHAT:    The CDMA Development Group (CDG) will host a live,
          interactive Webcast to provide an update on Open Market
          Handsets (OMH) for CDMA2000(r). The Webcast will discuss
          this important industry initiative, part of CDG's Global
          Handset Requirements for CDMA (GHRC) effort, that will
          streamline the future procurement and provisioning of
          CDMA2000 devices that utilize R-UIM cards.

          Key topics will include:
          --  Overview and market objectives of OMH
          --  Trial results in India, Indonesia and Bangladesh
          --  Operator preparations
          --  Manufacturer support from handset OEMs and R-UIM
              card vendors
          --  OMH-enabled device certification process
          --  Operator network testing process
          --  CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) update

 WHO:     James Person, chief operating officer of the CDG, will
          moderate the discussion.

          --  David Hind, representing CDG, GHRC
