Notification of Major Interest in Shares
Powerflute Oyj (the "Company") has received notification that Bacchantes Limited
("Bacchantes") has increased its beneficial interest in the shares of the
Company from 15,253,000 (17.3%) to 16,377,000 shares (18.6%) through the
acquisition of 1,124,000 shares on Friday 22, August 2008.
Bacchantes is controlled by Sir Michael Smurfit who is the brother of Dermot
Smurfit, Chairman of the Company.
At the date of this announcement, the Company has 88,000,000 shares in issue.
